Throw Meat on the Grill: It’s BBQ Season!

Summer’s here, and it’s time to get outside and start grilling! At Eximus, we love a good summer barbeque, and that’s why we’re sharing a few of our favourite tips from Epicurious article, “World’s Best BBQ Tips.”

Learn some of our favourite bare cupboard recipes.

  • Use a meat thermometer: Did you know meat’s internal temperature continues to rise after it’s taken off the grill? Pulling it off the barbeque when it’s about 10 degrees below the target temperature supposedly guarantees perfectly cooked meat every time!
  • Let meat rest before you dig in: Giving it time to sit once it’s off the barbeque gives the juices time to redistribute and makes it easier to slice.
  • Be timely when it comes to seasonings and sauces: Use a marinade, rub or injection before grilling and add BBQ sauce later. Adding BBQ sauce too early will cause the sauce to burn on the fire before it has a chance to flavor the food. Save it until you’re near the last few minutes of cooking!
