Keeping kids busy in Aldergrove (Part One)

Keeping kids entertained and busy is an important priority for parents and grandparents. If you’re looking to get away from the house for the day, there are lots of things to do with your kids in Aldergrove and they’re only minutes away from Cedar Landing.

If you want to get outside and give your kids more space to run around, you definitely want to take them to Aldergrove Athletic Park (29 Avenue & 267B Street). It has tons of things to do for the whole family: Ball hockey and lacrosse arena, running track, skateboard park, baseball diamond, tennis and basketball courts, mountain bike course, and playground. Adults will love having change rooms, picnic facilities, water fountains, restrooms, and trails nearby. It’s a 5-minute drive and 37-minute walk from Cedar Landing.

You’re also close to the Greater Vancouver Zoo – the largest zoo in British Columbia! Located at 5048 264 Street – which is only 9 minutes away from Cedar Landing – the Greater Vancouver Zoo celebrated its 44 anniversary in early August.

With a variety of educational programs and an unwavering commitment to improving living conditions for their animals, the Greater Vancouver Zoo is a great place to visit for more reasons than just to see cute animals.

Keep an eye on their website for special events like a Night in the Wild and to take note of things to see in their daily schedule. Meet the animals and see what’s new – like the brand-new lemur house!

Spend a weekend exploring everything Aldergrove has to offer your family. While you’re in the area, come take a look at our Cedar Landing showroom. It’s open Tuesday – Friday, 3 – 6 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 1 – 4 pm. Want more information? Call our team at 604.850.5040 or send us a message using our contact form.
