Aldergrove: A city? A town? (A couple facts)

When you move into our brand-new Cedar Landing development in Aldergrove, B.C., you’ll need to know the scoop so you can explain and elaborate on the details of your new home and the area it’s in. Here are a few quick facts to keep in the back of you mind:

  • Contrary to what it may seem, Aldergrove is neither a city nor a town. It’s a small community within the Township of Langley, along with areas like Fort Langley and Walnut Grove. Many people tend to think it’s town unto itself, but it hasn’t been incorporated.
  • Its population hovers close to 12, 778 people, and it is tucked up next to the city of Abbotsford.
  • Aldergrove is home to one of the Lower Mainland’s five land border crossings, connecting directly to Lynden.
  • Within Aldergrove itself (not including the rest of Langley Township), there are four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Each of them is a short, less-than-fifteen-minute drive away from Cedar Landing. Here’s the full list with driving times:
  • Coghlan Elementary School (9 min drive)
  • North Otter Elementary School (13 min drive)
  • Parkside Centennial Elementary School (6 min drive)
  • Shortreed Elementary School (3 min drive)
  • Betty Gilbert Middle School (6 min drive)
  • Aldergrove Community Secondary School (5 min drive)

Ready to see it for yourself? Tour the city and stop by our Cedar Landing showroom on Tuesday – Friday, 3 – 6pm; Saturday and Sunday, 1 – 4pm.  You’ll love living here.
