Fall activities in the Fraser Valley

Enjoy October Fall Weather!

We were so lucky to have such gorgeous weather in October! Now that temperatures are cooling down, here are a few ideas to enjoy the fall in the Fraser Valley.

 1.     Go for a walk

Take advantage of all of the fantastic walking trails in the area. Whether rain or shine, these trails are a great opportunity to bundle up, grab a warm drink and meet a friend for a chance to stretch your legs and get a little extra fresh air. We recommend checking out Campbell Valley Park and the Fort-to-Fort Trail in Langley and Mill Lake in Abbotsford.

2.     Ride your bike

The Fraser Valley is full of great cycling routes to you to explore on your own or with your family and friends. If you’re looking for a place to go or a new route to explore, check out Map My Ride. It’s a great tool to help you find a new bike path near you and shows you cycling routes that others have taken. You add your own maps, too.

3.     Curl up with a good book

If lounging inside is more of your thing, we recommend finding a good book. Browsing through online stores, like Chapters, can give you great ideas for a new book to pick up. You could also browse thrift or secondhand stores for less-expensive options.

Your local library is another fantastic place to go. If you’d prefer to browse from the comfort of your home, Fraser Valley Regional Library allows you to view and put a hold on books, eBooks and audiobooks that they have available in their collection. This is a great option if you’re tight for time or know exactly what you’re looking for. If you have some spare time, it’s worth going straight to the library to see what new titles jump out at you.

4.     Tour open houses

There are plenty of houses on the market! We’re especially excited about the Foxwood homes in Abbotsford. It’s affordable, upscale living that’s perfect for growing families. The neighbourhood has breathtaking views and a tranquil setting.
