Avoiding “I’m bored” on May long weekend
While everyone else is hauling down the highway on May long weekend, stay close to home with these fun things to do in the Fraser Valley.
Go to Clayburn Village & Tea Shop in Abbotsford. It’s a quiet little village that’s fun to explore on foot. When you’re finished (or ready for a treat), stop in at the tea shop for a small snack. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love their collection of imported candy!
Take a hike in Langley. Visit the Fort to Fort Trail that takes you from Derby Reach Regional Park to Fort Langley. Tackle it on foot or bring along your bikes. Shop in Surrey at The Shops at Morgan Crossing or the newly renovated Guildford Town Centre. Rain or shine, there are plenty of place to explore no matter what the weather decides to do. (Or, you could visit both with an umbrella in tow.)
See a movie at the Cineplex at Highstreet in Abbotsford. With 11 screens and a 19+ VIP section, you can grab dinner and dessert in the Highstreet complex before stopping in to see the latest blockbuster. You’ll love catching a movie in their comfy rocking seats.
